Gruff Rhys Announces ‘Loan Your Loneliness Edits EP’

Gruff Rhys is sharing two new versions of ‘Loan Your Loneliness’, the lead single from his UK Top 10 Album ‘Seeking New Gods’ released earlier this year. The Loan Your Loneliness Edits EP features a new Luke Abbott Version and Don Leisure Remix, alongside the original version of the track (listen now). The release comes ahead of Gruff’s tour (starting on 21st October) that touches all four corners of the UK and Ireland, beginning next week (tickets).
Gruff says about the Luke Abbott & Don Leisure versions:
Luke Abbot, who I discovered through his incredible work with fellow Super Furry Animal Guto Pryce’s band, Gulp, and who I follow due to his endless innovation as an electronic artist, producer and sonic landscape gardener, has stretched the song out into a swirling, trance-inducing, rocking psychedelic glamathon.
Don Leisure, Aberdare, Wales’ (and the former Soviet Union’s) greatest beat maker, whose work I was introduced to by genius producer Andy Votel many moons ago, has zoned into the magnificence of Kliph Scurlock’s drums and, from it, has fished out a beautiful slice of AM radio-friendly harmonic beatitude on syrup.
