Lisa O'Neill
Lisa O’Neill received five BBC Folk Awards nominations and a Folk Album of the Year accolade in The Guardian in 2019 for her album ‘Heard a Long Gone Song’ on Rough Trade’s River Lea imprint, as well as sharing ‘The Wren’ EP in 2019 and an adaptation of Bob Dylan’s ‘All the Tired Horses’ for the final scene of epic TV drama Peaky Blinders.
O’Neill, one of the most evocative songwriters in contemporary Irish music today, returned with the new album, her first for the Rough Trade label, the beautiful, resonant ‘All Of This Is Chance’ in 2023. This was received to further acclaim and led to nominations at the RTÉ Folk Awards for Best Folk Album and Best Original Folk Track for ‘Old Note’.
