Goat Girl are celebrating the release of their critically acclaimed sophomore record On All Fours today on Rough Trade.
Today at 7pm GMT / 2pm EST, Goat Girl will host an album listening event and Q&A with fans on their YouTube channel. The band will broadcast live from Zoom to talk about the record, discuss songs and answer fan questions.
On All Fours was produced by Dan Carey (Kae Tempest, black midi & Franz Ferdinand) in South London in late 2019. It sees the band delve deeper into unexplored lyrical and melodic territory while retaining their critical lens on the world’s injustices and social prejudices. Throughout On All Fours, Goat Girl’s frequent use of sci-fi synthesizers, off-beat chord progressions, analogue drum machines, diverse vocal styles and distinct, gritty guitars fuse a musical language that expresses both former characteristics and newer developments of the band’s sound and vision. Music videos for singles “Sad Cowboy”, “The Crack” and “Badibaba” reflect Goat Girl’s strong visual aesthetic and commitment to world-building and detail that can be seen in every artistic endeavor they undertake.
